Lagniappe Bed and Breakfast is a 90 year old Spanish
influenced home with beautifully restored hardwood floors and 11-foot ceilings.
"Lagniappe" is a word derived from Louisiana French which means, "an
unexpected surprise, a treat that you did not anticipate." Our goal is to
spoil you rotten and provide you with as much Lagniappe as possible from the
moment you arrive. Helene & Ken Barnett

New Orleans is home to many of the most beautiful hotels in the country, many
are located in or near the French Quarter. However, if you
are like me, when traveling to a new city, the first question
you ask is, "where do the locals go?" If you truly want to experience New
Orleans, you must live and breathe with the natives.
Lagniappe Bed and Breakfast is located in one of New
Orleans' oldest uptown neighborhoods. We are located just three blocks off of St. Charles Avenue, route of the oldest,
continuously running streetcars in the world, the St. Charles Street Car. This
beautiful old relic provides charming access to view the historic and
beautiful mansions of the Garden District, Audubon
Zoo (voted one of the top three in the country), the French Quarter and numerous restaurants offering
what I guarantee is the most incredible food you have tasted! Lagniappe is also located just three blocks from The Fine Arts Theatre, a beautifully restored treasure, featuring Live Entertainment and Special Events.
We offer five beautiful bedrooms with private
baths. An exquisite New Orleans' breakfast
is served in the Grand Corridor, where you'll have the opportunity to meet new
friends and get the "scoop" from your hosts as to what to see and do.
For business travelers, our office is available and complete with copier, fax, PC,
and laser printer.
Come to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras, the Jazz
Festival, the food, the art
or the culture, but we think that Lagniappe Bed and Breakfast will be one of the
reasons you return.
On your next visit to New Orleans be a special
guest at Lagniappe.
